Fire Pipe Wraps
Uses
- Pipe wraps reinstate the fire resistance of a wall or floor which has been penetrated by plastic flammable pipes used in soil, waste, air and drainage services.
- The active element contained is specifically formulated to close and seal the aperture during the decomposition stage of the flammable service, creating a highly effective fire resistant barrier to minimise the propagation and permeation of hot gases into adjacent compartment.

- Easy to place around pipe and slide into position
- Intumescent material is totally unaffected by water
- It is robust, non flaking and difficult to tear
- Colour coded; Red sleeve 200series (2 hr fire) and silver sleeve 400 series (4 hr fire)
- Wraps should be installed centrally within the supporting construction wall to achieve EI120
- No migratory plasticisers which could result in degradation and softening of pipe material
- Pre measure wraps for speed of installation, minimising waste and disposal
- Designed specifically to prevent passage of fire and hot gases through concrete and masonry constructions
- Suitable for plastic flammable pipes with PVC-C, PVCU, PE, PP, ABS, & SAN+PVC pipes
- Tested in accordance with BS476:Part 20 & BS EN1366- 3, achieving a fire resistance period of up to 240 minutes
- Classified in accordance with Certifire TS01 certification No CF635/ CE Mark 2812—CPR-JA5003, ETA 20/1209
- Product is guaranteed by Pyroplex for a period of 10 years
Installation
- The wall or floor must be solid construction not less than 100mm in overall thickness. The recess hole must be the correct size.
- Fix wrap around pipe using adhesive tab and slide along pipe into wall/floor cavity to a depth of 5mm min/10mm max.
- After insertion, the cavity around the pipe can be made good with filler, The surface can then be decorated. Must not be used in stud wall partitioning system
